Dryer Energy per Kilogram: A Practical Measurement Method
Drying energy use cannot be assessed reliably by dividing a whole building's utility bill by its cycle count. The measurement boundary must be defined, the dry kilograms actually processed recorded and textile types kept distinct. Very wet towels and well-extracted flat linen represent different workloads. A kWh/kg figure can be useful when measured and described consistently, but it is not a universal performance score and does not allow fair comparisons across equipment with different energy inputs or measurement boundaries.
